Maggie's Art Shed

The Moulin Rouge has always been a fantasy and an escape from reality. I did this picture from an airbrushed advertising image which is why the body proportions are not realistic. As part of an advertisement this is not noticeable, but when painting the figure it becomes apparent how altered it is.
Watercolour, gouache and nail polish on paper. Unframed size A3. Mounted and framed. Framed size 20" x 16" (50cm x 40cm).
